Zaniboni Lighting Wins German Design Award 2018

After being nominated several months ago, the German Design Council has announced that Zaniboni Lighting has been awarded the 2018 German Design Award for Excellent Product Design in the Lighting category for their Alba 1 Q.

Published in the German Design Award's gallery and Manager Magazine, the winning entry description states, "The Alba 1 Q is a one inch square aperture, edgeless LED downlight. It leverages the very best of LED technology bringing light beyond the boundaries of what was possible just a few years ago. The mud-in trim makes the fixture disappear in the ceiling, and the black inner recess reduces glare to a minimum, putting it in a class of its own. This allows for the perfect geometry on a ceiling giving the interior that next-gen minimalistic look."

The Alba 1 Q now resides among the elite design award winners that have gone through the meticulous selection process of the German Design Council jury, which consists of design experts from various disciplines and recognized leading authorities in their respective fields. The German Design Council is Germany's leading brand and design authority.  They set the highest standards when it comes to selecting their winners.  Their goal is to discover, present and honor unique design trends that are, in themselves, ground-breaking in the international design landscape.

The Alba 1 Q's unique characteristics sets it apart from their competitors and is setting design trends with its minimalistic design that blends into any architectural scheme by adding powerful lighting, yet the fixture seems to disappear as it visually blends into the existing design.
